Terms of Service

Last updated: January 1, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using btalker, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

btalker is a self-hosted SaaS platform that provides tools for creating, managing, and publishing web content. The platform includes user authentication, page management, API key management, and automated backup capabilities. You are responsible for deploying and maintaining the btalker software on your own infrastructure.

3. Accounts

To use btalker, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us of any unauthorized access
  • Providing accurate and current registration information

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems
  • Interfere with the integrity or performance of the service
  • Use automated tools to scrape or harvest data without authorization
  • Distribute malware or engage in phishing activities
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations

5. Intellectual Property

The btalker software, including its source code, documentation, and branding, is the intellectual property of btalker and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Content you create using the platform remains your property.

6. Paid Plans and Billing

Some features require a paid subscription. By subscribing, you agree to:

  • Provide valid payment information
  • Pay all fees associated with your chosen plan
  • Authorize automatic renewal payments

Payments are processed through Stripe. Refund policies are handled per Stripe's dispute resolution process.

7. Service Availability

Because btalker is self-hosted, service availability depends on your infrastructure and maintenance. We provide software updates and security patches but do not guarantee 100% uptime of your deployment.

8. Limitation of Liability

btalker is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the service.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may terminate your account at any time through the account settings or by contacting us.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by applicable law without regard to conflict of law principles.
